As we continue to grow, we are looking for a CI (Consumer Insights) Senior Manager/ CI (Consumer Insights) Manager to join our team. This role will be based in Seoul, directly reporting to S. Korea Marketing Director / dotted reporting to APAC CI Associate Director.

Position Overview:
As a pioneer of new distributor markets’ CI team, you will play a critical role in thriving our global business. This is an exciting opportunity to get directly involved in growing our business in multiple countries by providing our innovative, high quality products and by developing marketing plan to maximize their potential for further business growth, in global, agile, dynamic and flat environment.
Here are some of the EXCITING things you will get to do:
Closely working in conjunction with Product Development, Marketing, and other teams, this is both an “architectural” and “hands-on” role, responsible for all phases of both 1) validations and exploratory 2) quantitative and qualitative research.
Annual research planning
· Plan holistic market research plan, based on the business needs to achieve annual sales target, approaching both from product development side and marketing activity side.
· Sort out what local research is needed for what product, by identifying products which are accompanied with S. Korean consumer-unique needs, different from US and Japan ones.
Research design
· Elaborate each research designs by localizing global-common protocols into S. Korea market.
· Curve out the best respondent criteria, considering our potential targets
Research execution
· Create screeners, questionnaires, discussion guides in order to pull out expected insights in the best way
· Execute surveys, conduct in-depth and focus group interviews
· Execute snowball recruit utilizing internal associates’ network time to time
Data analysis / Reporting
· Quantitative data aggregation at holistic level, qualitative analysis at conscious / subconscious levels
· Write report with powerful storyline supported by convincing data / insights
· Provide actionable, strategic recommendations / implications for next steps, having a good balance of objectivity and creativity
· Synthesized / historical interpretation of insights to provide success potential assessments per product to APAC HQ
Budget control / monitor
· Drive cost optimization by negotiating with agencies to select most cost-efficient ones.
· Fostering in-house research skill as S. KOREA CI team.
· Utilize other market assets, past assets, or relative information source to cut down costs of ‘nice-to-have’ research.
· Monitor costs to ensure annual CI spending fits within annual CI budget
Mentoring (Not mandatory)
· Coach subordinates in all areas to step into upper levels
· Specifically in effective way of interviewing with no bias and crisp report writing
지원 자격
Required Skills and Qualifications:
· Minimum 7-8 years of proven experience in hands-on marketing research including agency side experience
· Bachelor’s degree in psychology / sociology / anthropology / foreign studies or relevant discipline
· Exposure to FMCG or durable goods industry preferred
· Strong background in qualitative and quantitative research in both validation / exploratory fields
· Excellent analytical skill; crisp, logical report writing, and integral insight interpretation in chronologically across multiple projects (connecting dots)
· Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with stakeholders at all levels of the organization in both Korean and English
· Demonstrated ability to multi-task in timely manner
· Good balance of 1) objectivity and creativity, 2) bird-eye view and detail-orientation
· Outstanding aspiration in learning about products
· Mentoring subordinates in market research field (good to have)
